Authorship & development
RDS-1:2026 was prepared under the direction of Joseph DiMartino, Founder of Revex Engineered Revenue LLC. The standard consolidates the physics, compressed-air engineering, atmospheric and site life-safety requirements, operational discipline, and documentation duties of professional dry ice blasting into numbered, auditable requirements. Prior to its publication, the trade operated without a published standard; training was manufacturer-specific and non-portable.

Regulatory alignment statement
DIB curricula are aligned to the topic areas of the OSHA 10-hour General Industry outreach program (DIB-1 and DIB-3) and HAZWOPER training under 29 CFR 1910.120 (DIB-3), and prepare candidates to excel in those programs. DIB credentials do not confer US Department of Labor OSHA Outreach cards or HAZWOPER certification, which carry their own authorized delivery requirements, and do not replace employer-required, site-specific, or legally mandated training. Revex maintains an open liaison posture toward occupational-safety authorities, air-quality districts, and industry bodies regarding recognition and endorsement of RDS-1.
Registry integrity
Every credential is issued against a passing, server-graded examination drawn from the published blueprint, is recorded with a unique National Registry Number, expires three years from issue, and is revocable for cause (misrepresentation, credential sharing, examination misconduct). The public record at /verify is the authoritative statement of a credential's standing.
